It is reported that July 2 2011, the twelfth five year development plan in steel industry expert meeting was held in Beijing, organized by raw material department, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Industry.

Mr Chen Yanhai raw material department director hosted this meeting, with a lot of related personnel attended, who are from Planning Department of Industry and Information Technology Ministry, Industry Coordination Department of Development and Reform Commission, High Technology Development and Industrialization of Science and Technology Ministry, etc.

Planning demonstration expert team is formed by several well-known industries professors including, Mr Yin Ruiyu Academician of Chinese academy of engineering, Mr Yong Gan honorary president of the Iron and Steel Association and Yin Ruiyu leads the team.

Mr Chen Yanhai made a brief introduction about this planning and pointed out its meaning, background and also current progress. Expert team made heated discussion after learning the brief introduction and said that this plan was well contented and structured with strong strategic, forward-looking and feasible prospective and also equipped with comprehensive measures to take the plan into action.

Based on all the things mentioned above, this plan has already reached all the application standards and at the same time, expert team suggested that we should pay much attention to the organization which made this plan take off and strengthened the cooperation with relevant departments and units.

In terms of the following steps, raw material department of Industry and Information Technology Ministry will consider the suggestions from experts and make further improvement to the plan.
