Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Anshan Iron and Steel Group has stated that on December 21 it laid the foundation stone for its high quality cold rolled steel processing base project in Boyan Technology Park, Hefei High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Anhui Province.

The project in question will be built on an area of 55,336 square meters with a planned investment of CNY 330 million. Upon completion, it will focus on steelmaking, steel processing, wholesale and retail and will include a length-cutting line with annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes a pendulum shear line with an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes and a cross-cutting shear line with an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes.
