
It is reported that Chinese steel giant Baosteel has been recognized as a ‘class A supplier' of grain oriented silicon steel by Chinese equipment manufacturing company Tebian Electricity Apparatus Stock Co Ltd becoming the first domestic steelmaker to be recognized thus.
Tebian Electricity Apparatus Stock Co Ltd is a major enterprise in the Chinese major equipment manufacturing industry and also has the largest R&D base for transformer in China, with an annual production capacity of 180 million KVA placing it first in Asia and third in the world.
Up to the present, TBEA has purchased grain oriented silicon steel from overseas producers, namely, from Japanese steelmakers Nippon Steel and JFE, and from South Korea's POSCO.
