Recently, Baosteel Co Ltd is once again awarded the title of National Patent System Advanced Unit by State Intellectual Property Office. This is the 4th time that Baosteel Co Ltd is awarded this title since State Intellectual Property Office carries out the selection.

Meanwhile, Baosteel Co Ltd. actively implements intellectual property strategy and makes efforts in promoting the use of intellectual property rights It strengthens full staff education, improves staff patent awareness, implements incentives to stimulate staff invention enthusiasm.

More than 80% of Baosteel Co Ltd. patents have been applied in the production. In 2011 and intellectual property rights has produced CNY 686 million of direct economic benefits. By the end of 2011, Baosteel Co Ltd has applied for 7579 patents, among which 3054 invention patents and 5125 grant patents. It has declared 46 PCT international applications and 19 are authorized.
