Recently Baosteel Co Ltd is granted the title of class A supplier by Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co Ltd which is the company highest reward for GO silicon steel supplier. The other three steelmakers that received this honor at the same time are all world class veterans for GO silicon steel production, while Baosteel, starting the production of GO silicon steel less than 2 years ago became the first domestic steelmaker to receive this honor.

As a new force in GO silicon steel production, Baosteel GO silicon steel line, which is integrated and innovated independently by Baosteel was put into production officially in 2008. In order to satisfy the customer high requirements for GO silicon steel material, externally Baosteel paid in depth visits to the customers to conduct extensive survey and actively follow the market trends while internally, Baosteel takes exact, precise, synergetic and efficient as the guideline for silicon steel work to expedite the enhancement of product manufacturing capability.

In 2009 TBEA started to purchase Basoteel products in batches and gave favourable comments on the quality and lead time of Baosteel products, etc. Now Baosteel products account for 20% of its total purchase and its large transformers of 500KV and above using the local material are also exported.

The title of class A supplier received by Baosteel Co Ltd from TBEA this time indicates that Baosteel GO silicon steel which was put into production less than two years ago has ranked within the world leading class in terms of the comprehensive strength in quality control and supply guarantee, etc.
