It is reported that Baosteel signed strategy cooperation agreement with China State Shipbuilding Corporation on January 29th to renewing their cooperation for the New Year.

According to the agreement, CSSC will choose Baosteel made steel plates at first and Baosteel will give priority to its partner in product supply. They will team up and continue to create a long term, stable and optimum supply chain to deepen their cooperation and avoid market risks.

Baosteel noted to join in and give active support to CSSC in the shipbuilders’ development of 250,000 DWT and beyond oil tankers and ocean oil platforms to consolidate its business relationship with the shipbuilder.

Since Baosteel putting its 5000mm heavy plate mill into production in 2005, the steelmaker started to supply 61,000 tonnes to CSSC, and provide whole materials for the building of 300,000 DWT Float Production Storage and Offloading by CSSC Waigaoqiao Shipyard.
