The villagers in recent Elderly People Activity Fitness Plaza opening ceremony, Mengdong Village, Chongming County of Shanghai said that Now, I can participate in fitness training in front of our house. I really would like to thank Baosteel Special Steel Division for its assistance.

In 2007, in order to implement Shanghai municipal Party committee and Baosteel Party committee's deployment and requirements, the Special Steel Division and the Mengdong Village carried out the first round of twinning activities. Within 3 years, the Special Steel Division helped Mengdong Village to lay out radio lines, improve radio stations, health rooms, construct concrete roads and greatly improved the villagers travel and medical facilities.

In 2010, in order to deepen the twinning activities, under the unified arrangements of the Group Corporation, the Special Steel Division launched the second round of twinning activities for three years with Mengdong Village. It broaden Mengdong Village Centeral Road for three kilometers and the 900 square meter Elderly People Activity Fitness Plaza was completed by the end of 2011.

In the opening ceremony, Special Steel Division asserted that it would continue to focus on Mengdong Village's transportation and cultural facilities' construction and facilitate the transportation of Mengdong villagers and create conditions for the leisure life of the villagers.
