Now this European customer has registered Baosteel into its name list for purchase. It is the first overseas certification passed by Baosteel two pieces cans DI material.

Two-piece can DI material is used to process the beverage can of two-piece structure, which is developed on the basis of earlier three-piece can DI material and has been extensively used now. As a high-end product among tin plates, two-piece can DI material can minimize the material consumption and cut down the production cost, but only a few leading foreign steelmakers can manufacture such material since it has stringent requirements for material elongation and earring rate, etc. Baosteel took the lead in China to develop and manufacture two-piece can DI material many years ago, which has been widely used by domestic can makers and has maintained a good reputation for a long time.

The European customer contacted this time is the largest two-piece can maker in the world, which has many branches in India, Egypt and France, etc. Each year its demand for DI material is over 500,000 tonnes which used to import from Europe, Japan and South Korea, etc. In the past two years, as a result of the company's further pursuit of globalize and diversified purchase strategy, BaoSteel two-piece can DI material struck its eyes and it came to Baosteel for investigation last year.

In view of the technical conditions raised by the customer, the sales system, cold rolling plant and manufacture department of Baosteel Co Ltd set up a team to carefully analyze and unscramble the product demands and match the corresponding products by means of benchmarking. After further learning of the performance-price ratio and comprehensive strength of BaoSteel products, the customer decided to try it out in Indian branch.

After two rounds of trial uses and inspections, the customer is very satisfied with BaoSteel products and is of opinion that its various performance indices are even better than those of the foreign like products.
