Baosteel has announced that it won the bid to supply zinc coated steel wire used in Yangtze River No 4 Bridge China first three span suspension bridges in Nanjing. Baosteel will provide 17,000 tonnes coil rod and zinc coated steel wire for making bridge cable ropes.

The released said with investment amounted to CNY 6.75 billion and overall length of near 29 kilometer, the 4th Yangtze River Bridge is important constituting part of Nanjing ring expressway as well as national highway from Shanghai to Chengdu. Foundation laid and construction started in January last year it is estimated that the bridge will complete construction and be ready for traffic in 2013.
