It is reported that Baotou Steel delivered the last supply of hull structure plates to its German and American users in the year end fulfilling the supplying contract of 8,000 tonne ship plates with its oversea buyers.

It is the first time that Baosteel has made the batch export of its wide & heavy plates, not only improving its oversea popularity and market share but also strengthening its capacity against market risk.

As per report, Ship hull structure plate is one of Baotou Steel main products. Aiming to pick up the export of the product, Baotou Steel made lots of efforts and finally won the certification of CCS, GL and ABS for its five grades of 10mm to 40mm plates. And the mill successfully won 8,000 tonne orders from Germany and America.

In detail, Baotou Steel churned out four grades for American users and two grades for Germany, the largest thickness, width and length of these products respectively reached 33mm, 3100mm and 12500mm.
