
China Knowledge reported that TRUenergy Holdings an Australia based power utility owned by CLP Holdings Ltd, Hong Kong biggest power producer to invest up to AUD 10 billion or around HKD 79.1 billion to add natural gas and renewable energy capacity by 2020.
The Australian company expects to obtain funds from the local government to develop a solar power project and has received approval from the New South Wales government to build a gas power plant which will be located in Tallawarra and the New South Wales and could cost around AUD 330 million.
Last December, TRUenergy agreed to purchase Energy Australia at a consideration of AUD 2.04 billion for its retail business expansion in the energy market.
Mr Rajiv Mishra managing director of CLP Holdings Indian unit has said that the company plans to build two wind power plants in India.
