On June 27, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, pursuant to subsection 76.03(3) of the Special Import Measures Act, initiated an expiry review of its findings made on March 10, 2008, in Inquiry No. NQ-2007-001, concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain seamless casing originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China.
As a result, the President of the Canada Border Services Agency initiated an investigation on June 28, 2012 to determine whether the expiry of the findings is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the goods.
On October 25th 2012, the Canada Border Services Agency will determine if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping and subsidizing.
In the event of positive determinations, the CITT will determine, on March 11th 2013, whether the continued or resumed dumping and subsidizing are likely to result in injury.
