According to Chinese steelmaking giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group, the vanadium-refining and steelmaking plant of its subsidiary Chengde Iron and Steel Group produced 4.7688 million tonnes of crude steel and 123,500 tonnes of vanadium slag in 2011 respectively increasing by 432,900 tonnes and 25,500 tonnes as compared to 2010.

Both outputs were in line with the targeted volumes for the year.
