It is reported that Major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group subsidiary Chengde Iron and Steel Corporation has upgraded its 1,780 mm hot rolled steel production line and accordingly plans to produce 2,000 tonnes of chequered steel plate in November.

Chengde Iron and Steel has signed a contract with six customers, including Tianjin City Xingwang Weiye Steel Trade Co Ltd and Langfang Zhengtai Materials Co Ltd to supply a total of about 5,000 tonnes of hot rolled chequered plate in November and in subsequent months.
