
China Knowledge reported that Chery Automobile Co Ltd, China largest private automaker has established a lab with SK Telecom, South Korea largest mobile telecom carrier to jointly develop smart vehicles that will enable mobile phone-controlled driving.
Mr Chen Anning Deputy General Manager of the Chinese automaker said that the lab will study the application of Mobile In Vehicle telematics service on Chery cars.
With MIV service, drivers will be able to use their cell phones to check driving performance and get fuel-related information, and control auto components such as doors, trunk and headlights.
