According to statistics released by the country's General Administration of Customs, China exported 650,000 tonnes of coal (including lignite) in August 2012, increasing by 30% or 150,000 tonnes MoM but down 48%YoY.

In the first eight months, China exported 6.92 million tonnes of coal, down 36.6% compared to the same period of last year.
