In the first half of the current year, Jiangxi Province total energy consumption increased by 13.4%YoY. To tackle the increasing energy consumption trend, the Jiangxi authorities have decided on tighter measures affecting energy consumption for the remainder of the year.

Accordingly, Jiangxi Province will close down dated production capacities including 1.08 million tonnes of iron-making capacity, 878,000 tonnes of steelmaking capacity, 300,000 tonnes of coke production capacity, 196,900 tonnes of copper output capacity, and 7.02 million tonnes of cement production capacity.
