MetalBiz reported that China adjust up by a wide range the price of H-shaped steel exported to South Korea. Recently, Magang H-shaped steel shipped in September quoted South Korea at USD 580 per tonne which would affect Laigang, West Tianjin Iron and Steel and other steel plants.
According to the report, the reason why China's H-shaped steel producers increase the export prices is that raw material prices, the international H-shaped steel prices and China's domestic prices are picking up.
South Korean H-shaped steel importers in Korea said, now the rate of won per ton against the US dollar per ton is increasing together with the rising China's domestic prices and then it will be very difficult for the price negotiations with China's steel mills.
