As indicated in the new report entitled 'China auto import situation in 2011 to 2012 and future development issued by China Automobile Trading Company, China's auto imports in 2011 amounted to over 1 million vehicles, rising by 30.1% YoY.

In 2010, Chinese import auto market had seen stronger growth with total imports rising 93% YoY to 770,000 vehicles. In 2011, China imported 980,000 passenger vehicles up 30.1% YoY while imports of sports utility vehicles recorded the fastest YoY growth rate of 36%.
