
China box throughput on track to grow 10pct in 2010
It is reported that major Chinese ports recorded a container throughput of 108 million TEU in the first three quarters of 2010. It forecasts that the full year figure will reach 134 million TEU up by 9.8% on 2009.
Coastal ports achieved a throughput of 96.89 million TEU in the first three quarters of this year with Shanghai ranking first with 21.6 million TEU followed by Shenzhen and Qingdao.
