China Knowledge quoted according to the latest figures from China General Administration of Customs, China the world second largest oil consumer after the US imported 21.04 million tons of crude oil in August this year down by 12.5%YoY.

The crude oil imports last month were 15.7% less than the 21.83 million metric tons in July and were the lowest level since October 2010. In the first eight months of this year, China crude oil imports amounted to 180.3 million tons up by 7.4%YoY.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the country processed 37.74 million metric tons of crude oil last month up by 1.5%YoY.
