It is reported that owing to the rising domestic steel price, Chinese steelmakers have increased their export quotation of thick plate to USD 505 per tonne to USD 520 per tonne to South Korea.
As per report, such mills as Shougang, Shagang and Jingye Steel offer USD 510 per tonne to USD 515 per tonne, USD 515 per tonne to USD 520 per tonne and USD 505 per tonne CFR respectively for December shipment. Nevertheless, steel demand remains to be soft in South Korea and only a few transactions are being closed as a result.
