China Knowledge quoted according to figures from the National Development and Reform Commission, China total logistics expense grew 11.8% YoY to CNY 4.8 trillion in the first seven months of this year.

The growth rate was 0.1 percentage points lower than that in the first half and 6.6 percentage points lower than that in the same period of 2011. Of the total expense, CNY 2.5 trillion was transportation cost up by 10.9% YoY, CNY 1.7 trillion was storage cost up by 12.5% YoY and CNY 600 billion was management cost up by 13.2%YoY.

The value of goods transported by logistics industry grew 9.8% YoY to CNY 98.3 trillion in the first seven months. The growth rate was 3.8 percentage points lower than that in the corresponding period of 2011 and 0.2 percentage points lower than in H1. The value included CNY 89.7 trillion of industrial products and CNY 6.6 trillion of imported goods 10.3% and 4.6%YoY respectively.

The logistics industry saw its value added output rise 10.3%YoY to CNY 1.9 trillion in the 7 month period.
