China Knowledge quoted the National Development and Reform Commission in a statement said China saw its output of natural gas increase 1.4% YoY to 8.4 billion cubic meters in July this year.

In the first seven months, the country produced 62.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas up by 5.9%YoY. In July, China natural gas imports surged 28.2% YoY to 3.5 billion cubic meters taking its total import in the first seven months to 23.3 billion cubic meters up by 38.6%YoY and accounting for 28.14% of the country total consumption.

The apparent consumption of natural gas amounted to 82.8 billion cubic meters from January to July up by 12.8% YoY. It rose 10.5% YoY to 11.4 cubic meters in July.
