On November 15, the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology posts the targets achieved in washing out backward capacity in 2010. China steel industry outperforms the targets as a whole, therein 40.996 million tonnes of iron making capacity, 11.857 million tonnes of steel making, 25.327 million tonnes of coking coal and 2.456 million tonnes of ferroalloy are shifted out respectively at an accomplishment rate of 137%, 157%, 119% and 171%.

According to the list issued by MIIT, China needs to wash out 31.22 million tonnes of backward iron making capacity, 27.94 million tonnes of steel making, 19.75 million tonnes of coking coal and 2.11 million tonnes of ferroalloy.
