Commodity Online reported that Hebei in Northern part of China to have Asia largest Iron Ore production base by 2015.

The Hebei Iron and Steel Group Mining Co Ltd and Shougang Mining Co Ltd will cooperate to build the comprehensive iron ore production base.

The base will be constructed in the Hebei province and the construction will be based on the six key projects in the iron-producing areas in Tangshan, Qinhuangdao and Chengde.

The base is planned to have a 697.2 million tons of capacity and is expected to complete and put in to use by 2015.
