It is reported that China’s imports of refined copper have increased for three consecutive months reaching the highest point in April this year; aluminum imports have increased four fold.
Refined copper imports increased by 148.9% in April reaching 31.7947 million tonnes up by 7.1% from 29.6843 million tonnes in March. January to April this year, imports of refined copper amounted to 1.07 million tonnes an increase of 106.29%.
Although there are sings of recovering, many traders and analysts said that they expressed concern on the domestic market, because the supply of the domestic market is not likely to meet the rapidly growing demand. Refined copper exports in April totaled 179 tonnes.
