
It is reported that Daqin Railway posted an 18.47%YoY increase in first half 2011 net profit to CNY 6.19 billion with earnings per share of CNY 0.42.
Revenue rose 9.39%YoY to CNY 21.85 billion.
According to the filing, the growth in revenue was due to higher cargo and passenger transportation volume. Coal accounted for 85.43% of the total transportation volume in the first half. The total cargo transportation volume increased 3.76%YoY to 370.34 million tonnes including 21,683 tons of coal.
Cargo transport on the Datong-Qinhuangdao railway increased 8.32%YoY to 216.07 million tonnes.
Daqin Railway expects the supply of domestic coal to maintain stable growth in the second half, and aims to complete the transportation of 440 million tons of coal for full year 2011.

Datang International Power H1 net profit up by 3pct YoY
China Knowledge reported that Datang International Power Generation Co China second largest publicly traded electricity producer net profit climbed 2.94%YoY to CNY 854 million in the first half of this year.
The company attributed the increase in net profit to optimized electricity structure and higher contributions from clean energy business.
The firm operating revenue rose 15.12%YoY to CNY 33.32 billion during the period. Revenue from electricity sales jumped 26.09%YoY.
As of the end of June the company installed power capacity had reached 37.26 GW of which 86.62% was thermal power 11.40% was hydropower and 1.96% was wind power.
