
It appears that Chinese government’s effort to curb over heated growth by tightening monetary policies is stronger that speculations as the steel prices in Chinese domestic market continued on downward trend for 3 consecutive days.
After steeping into the Year of Rabbit on February 9th 2011, Chinese steel market witnessed a surge in prices for both long and flat products and prices went up by 1.6%.
But the surge stopped on February 15th 2011 and prices lost almost half of the gains in just 3 days.
