China Knowledge reported that Dongfang Electric Corp Ltd a power generating equipment manufacturer and seller net profit fell 19.11% YoY to CNY 1.24 billion in the first half of this year due to weak demand.

The company in its interim report said earnings per share were CNY 0.62 during the period.

Dongfang Electric realize CNY 20.01 billion in operating revenue in the first six months up by 1.28%YoY.

The company signed CNY 2 billion of new orders in H1 of which about CNY 2.24 billion were for exports. The output of power generating equipment fell 21.6% YoY to 16.55 gigawatt hours in the period.
