Recently, Baosteel Metal and Baosteel Research Institute jointly established Research Center for Applied Technology on Hot Rolled Strip for deepening cooperation of production and research.

For the past few years, Structural Steel Company which is subsidiary company of Baosteel Metal enjoys a great prosperity, the sales amount is increasing annually, and even created a new record of 370,000 tonnes. Nevertheless the profitability of Structural Company is still very weak, so development of new product and transformation of product mix will be the top priority of company.


Therefore, after several communication and consultation with Baosteel Metal and Baosteel Research Institute, we decide to jointly establish the Research Center for Applied Technology on Hot Rolled Strip for complementing each other's advantages.

After foundation of research center, both side will jointly carry out the research on usability of hot rolled product and the evaluation test on new related product for instant, carrying out the research on cutting property of HSS and the research on property of cold-forming.

Moreover, both side will set a joint service team for key customer and key applied area of hot rolled strip, to solve all the technical problem while using hot rolled strip of Baosteel for client
