
Explosion at CNPC refinery in Liaoning injures 30 workers
Interfax-China reported that an explosion at China National Petroleum Corp Fushun Petrochemical plant in Liaoning Province on the morning of Jan. 19 injured more than 30 workers.
The explosion occurred after a catalytic cracker caught fire. The fire has been contained and no deaths were reported.
According to CNPC Web site, the petrochemical complex is undergoing expansion work to boost its annual refining capacity to 11.50 million tonnes by August.
