
It is reported that Gansu Province in north western China transmitted roughly 6 billion KWh of electricity to northern, central and eastern provinces in the first five months, equating to delivering 2.11 million tonnes of coal equivalent and surpassing performance in the whole of 2010 and announced local grid operator on June 6.
As per report, Inter provincial supply in May alone was 1.64 billion KWh. Gansu power capacities will increase from 21.51GW at end-2010 to 50GW by 2015 while its inter provincial power sales rise with the completion of lines to Henan and Jiangxi.
