It is reported that the National Development and Reform Commission ratified Gansu 750kV power transmission and transformation project in Hexi area and the first-phase 330kV power transmission and transformation project of wind power farm in Jiuquan.

As per report, Gansu Hexi area is booting construction of an array of wind power and photovoltaic power projects. The above two power transmission and transformation projects will guarantee the on-grid of the wind power and photovoltaic power.

The transmission lines start from Yongdeng County in Gansu runs through Wudeng, Jinchang, Zhangye, Jiuquan and Jiayuguan and terminates in Guazhou County. Then they stretch westward to Hami in Xinjiang so that Xinjiang connects with northwest power grid. A total of CNY 9.7 billion investment will go to the projects in Gansu territory for 1,974 kilometers 750kV power transmission lines with 8.4 million KVA capacities. The project is the largest ever in Gansu.
