According to Gansu Province Price Department, several days ago the department planned to continue the price ceiling policy during post quake construction without breaking the price level before 5.12 earthquakes.

As per report, Gansu Province Price Department has carried out the ex works price ceiling policy in post quake construction, such like steel products, cement and glass etc which produced by seven enterprises in the province and supplied for Longnan, Tianshui counties etc since last August. The prices will be put into practice after getting nod from the governments. Besides, the price ceiling also includes the good transportation prices asking to impose CNY 0.5 per tonne in one kilometer.

Some principals in price department revealed that, it was the crucial moment for the post quake constructions. A stable construction steel price is very important for the project to be finished as scheduled. If there is someone who rise price without authorization or refuse to implement the temporary price policies through the illegal behaviors, such as hoarding and speculation and driving up prices etc will be in accordance with the law to get the published.
