Information Times reported that d Mr Zhang Guangning a member of the standing committee of Guangdong Provincial Committee and deputy party secretary in Guangzhou met Mr Xu Lejiang Baosteel chairman and his board recently.

Mr Zhang said Guangzhou would spare no efforts in promoting Zhanjiang Project and early construction of the second cold rolling line in Nansha, since the merger of Baosteel and Guangzhou Iron and Steel Co Ltd. He also proposed Baosteel to assist Guanggang in personnel resettlement and head office building on the back of the merger for better cooperation of the two.

Mr Xu agreed Mr Zhang proposal and added that it will strive to develop service sector of the industry such as delivery, research and development and sales etc and at the same time upgrade its structures for more contributions to Guangzhou.
