Handan Steel of Hebei Steel Group adjusts its structure and alters methods, which wins social benefits and economic benefits for itself. In 2011, Handan Steel produces 6.25 million tonnes of variety steel an increase of 720,000 tonnes from 2010 and twice as much as that in 2009. Products of steel for special uses are significantly improved and perfected, creating a benefit of CNY 310 million.

The steel mill changes totally the former products structure that there are only ten products and mainly is for construction steel. The output of new products for the prior whole year is 2.45 million tonnes increasing 33.9% YoY.

Also, Handan Steel develops DC07 ultra deep drawing CR plate, DX56D+Z ultra deep drawing galvanized sheet, X100 pipeline steel and other new products; the number of newly-developed ones reaches 85.

In 2012, Handan Steel is to further enforce products development, ensuring the newly added production to hit 2.8 million tonnes with variety steel product sharing above 70%.
