The total finished steel exports of the Chinese province of Hebei in 2011 increased by 25.4%YoY to 5.872 million tonnes worth USD 5.08 billion up by 48.6%YoY. The average export price of finished steel products from Hebei in 2011 was USD 864 per tonne up by 18.5%YoY.

In 2011, the finished steel export value from Hebei to the Asian market saw a 55.5%YoY increase to USD 3.3 billion accounting for 65.1% of the province total finished steel export value. Of exports to the Asian region in 2011, exports to South Korea and India totaled USD 910 million and USD 400 million in value up 41.2% and 72.2%YoY respectively.
