
Interfax-China quoted statistics released by the Heilongjiang provincial government on February 16 said Heilongjiang Province maintained its position as a major energy base in northeast China, expanding its coal, crude oil and electricity output in 2010.
The statistics indicate that Heilongjiang boosted coal output by 5.7%YoY to 97.06 million tons while electricity output rose by 8.0%YoY to 79.05 billion kWh in 2010.
In the same year, Heilongjiang sold 5.25 billion kilowatt-hours of surplus electricity to other parts of China.
According to the statistics, the province's crude oil output grew 0.1%YoY to 40.05 million tons while its natural gas output remained stable at 3 billion cubic meters last year.
