
According to Harbin Customs, Heilongjiang province has exported 0.21 million tonnes of steel products in 2009, down by 26.9%YoY and imported 81,000 tonnes of products edging up by 2.2% from one year ago.
In detail, Heilongjiang has exported 158,000 tonnes of steel products by general trade, down by 27.5% one year earlier accounting for 75.1% of the total, and that by petty trade in the border areas arrived at 30,000 tonnes down by 47.6%YoY occupying 14.3%. Meanwhile, the imports in Heilongjiang through general trade were posted at 54,000 tonnes decline of 27.5%YoY accounting for 65.9% of the total, and that by petty trade in the border areas went at 26,000 tons, 5.2 times than one year before, occupying 32.3% of the total amounts.
Besides, the private-owned enterprises in Heilongjiang exported 0.12 million tonnes of steel products in total, up by 22.7%YoY and that of state-owned enterprises exported 88,000 tonnes down 51.1% from one year ago, occupying 41.9% of the total. At the same time, the former imported 41,000 tons of steel products, up 7.9% from one year ago, accounting for 50.6% of the total, and that in state-owned enterprises at 40,000 tonnes down by 1.4%YoY.
Moreover, the province exported 67,000 tons of steel bars, down 61.6% accounting for 31.9% of the total; 50,000 tonnes of flats steel, up 11.7%, with the ratio of 23.87%, and 0.23 million tonnes of wire rods accounting for 11%. The import figures of steel pipes and hollow section came at 32,000 tonnes up by 49.1% of the total and that of flats at 30,000 tonnes down by 45.8%YoY.
