It is reported that Huadian Power International Corporation power generation output rose 16.82%YoY to 111.67 tWh in the first three quarters.

The volume of on-grid power generation increased 17.25%YoY to 104.29 tWh during the same period. Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power posted a 0.73%YoY growth in power generation output in the first three quarters to a total of 14.56 tWh.

Power generated through hydropower, thermal power and wind power were 11.59 tWh, 2.83 tWh, and 140 gWh during the same period. Guiguan Electric forecasts a 50%YoY drop in net profit for the first three quarters to CNY 522 million with earnings per share of CNY 0.229.

The drop was attributed to the drought in Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces since summer as well as the significant increase in the cost of thermal coal in Guangxi.
