
It is reported that Huadian Power International plan to expand construction on a thermoelectric power plant in Kashgar city has received approval from the State Development and Reform Commission.
Huadian Power will construct two 350,000-kilowatt air cooled thermal power stations in its Kashgar power plant which is expected to generate 3.5 megawatts and supply electricity to three counties in southern Xinjiang province.
The project has been dubbed environmentally friendly. The power stations have been fitted with high-efficiency electric bag filters as well as desulfurization and denitrification equipment in order to reduce gas emissions and meet national environmental requirements.
