It is reported that China Huadian Coal Industry Group has inked an agreement with Sichuan Wang Group Ltd to jointly develop coal mines in SouthWestern China Yunan province.

According to the agreement, Sichuan Wang, Huadian Coal Industry Group and its power generating subsidiary Huadian Yunnan Power will jointly construct and operate a coal production base consisting of three thermal coal mines at Zhenxiong province in Yunnan. The Xinyuan, Haifeng and Xinhe coal mines have a combined annual production capacity of 1.2million tonnes with over 90Mt of reserves.

Huadian said coal from the mines will be used to supply local power plants owned by its power subsidiary.
