It is reported that Huaneng Power International domestic power generation output and sales increased 23.85%YoY and 24.02%YoY to 236.43 tWh and 222.78 tWh in the first nine months.

According to Huaneng Power, the higher figures were due to the improvement in the macro economy and the higher demand for energy during the first seven months. In addition, it had put several new power generation units into operation since the second half of last year.

Huaneng Power had completed the acquisition of Diandong Energy and Guhua Thermal Power thus increasing its market share.
