China Knowledge quoted Huaneng Power International Inc China largest publicly traded power company has secured approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Liaoning Province to build a fully owned wind farm in Changtu County, Liaoning Province in Northeast China.

The company said in a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange that it plans to invest a total of CNY 469 million in the wind farm which will be designed to have a total installed power capacity of 49.5 megawatt.

The wind farm will have 33 1.5 MW wind power generating units.
