It is reported that Hubei Province-based Chinese steel pipe producer Huangshi Xinxing Pipes commissioned a 616 cubic meter blast furnace at the beginning of September.

The furnace will be able to produce 2,400 tonnes of molten iron per day. The new furnace will reduce costs per tonne by CNY 150.

In order to achieve its target of CNY 10 billion in sales revenues by 2015, Huangshi Xinxing Pipes invested CNY 160 million in building the 616 cubic meter blast furnace.
