It is reported that since the start of this year, Jiangsu Shagang Group has started pushing forward its new round of five main technology reform projects such as on energy saving and emission reduction and restructuring typically taking the wide thick plate second phase reform as an example.

As per report, the five main technology reform project costs a total investment of CNY 19 billion. By now, constructions of all projects have been progressing with a physical achievement of 80% which are expected to be debugged and go to tentative production in Sep and slated to come on stream in 2010.

All the projects, once functioning all sided will create additional CNY 20 billion to its annual sales income helping the steel mill mount a new step by improving its energy saving and emission reduction, restructuring operating quality and comprehensive competitiveness, and also lay solid floor for it to enter into the world's 500 tops as fast as possible.
