It is reported that, Jiangyin City Changjiang Steel Pipe co Ltd has realized performance growths both in industrial output value and profits last year as one of the key logistic enterprises in Jiangsu province.

The global financial tsunami has frustrated domestic logistic enterprises in 2008. As learned, the company achieved a good sales performance in the first eight months of 2008, but during October to November, the situation presented a weak trend with declining orders. Many enterprises rushed to sell out their inventories, while the pipe company focused on broadening the market shares to win the orders in light of different demands from the customers.

In 2008, the sales volume of Changjiang Pipe Company has reached 0.67 million tonnes, 0.17 million tonnes more than the original plan, with the output value and profits hitting CNY 4.55 billion and CNY 0.11 billion respectively up by CNY 0.11 billion and CNY 16 million from the plans.

Jiangyin City Changjiang Steel Pipe Co Ltd is mainly engaged in selling all kinds of imported & exported cold-drawn and HR seamless steel pipes, including the pipes produced by three factories of its own with billet supplied by Changqiang Steel Co Ltd, and other manufacturers in China.

The company has a close cooperation with the large domestic steel companies such as Shougang Group, Baosteel, Baotou Steel, Pangang Group and Tianjin pipe Group and energy companies such as Sinopec, PetroChina and CNOOC.
