It is reported that Jilin Power Share anticipates a loss of between CNY 60 million and CNY 80 million for the first three quarters.

The company had recorded earnings of CNY 8.6 million in the same period a year ago. It attributed the poor performance to the rapid increase in fuel costs and a significant fall in the number of utilization hours.

Jilin Power expects to post a loss of between CNY 52 million and CNY 72 million in the third quarter. During this period, the growth of power consumption in Jilin province was far below that of its installed capacity.

The company also suffered from an increase in financing costs as lending rates were increased several times.

The wind turbine business was the only profitable sector for the company.
