It is reported that Gansu based Chinese steel producer Jiuquan Steel has completed the construction of and commissioned its No 1 carbon steel cold rolled 1,800 mm continuous galvanizing line.

The line which is a follow up project to Jiugang pickling line is designed to produce galvanized sheets using pure zinc and zinc aluminum alloy, and has an annual capacity of 800,000 tonne. Meanwhile, Jiugang also has plans to build a No 2 galvanizing line for the production of galvanized sheet up to 0.5 mm thick, with a designed annual capacity of 700,000 tonne.
